Aidpage Open Letter: virtual schooling and homeschooling

To the attention of:

------------------------------------

I would like to ask that some sort of financial assistant be offered to us parents that homeschool their children. Ifeel that is should be a choice if we want to school our own kids. I'm not knocking public school. I have a 14 and 16 year old that have always atttended a public school and they are very high acheivers they make good grades and are acedemically recognized.

I went to work substitute teaching during their elementary and middle school years, which kept them close by and I stayed involved with every aspect. Now I homeschool my 5 year old and my 2 year old is learning right along with us and WE LOVE IT!I love being able to teach my son and be there to see and experience all of it with him.

Our finances are bad and we live day to day barely making ends meat. It is hard to get a job and homeschool and keep up mom work-cooking, cleaning, laundry, baths, cooking, boo boos, older kids school activities. I know some would say "just send him to school and get a job", but you're not in my shoes. I know one day I WILL look back and say it was worth every penny we DIDN'T HAVE to be able to experience this educational experience with my child.

So, I ask you to continue to support homeschooling and virtual schooling. And I ask that a bill be considered to be passed to give us parents some sort of income to supplement our needs.

Thank you so much!!!      Cathi Jenkins

please help our family

I am posting again at one last chance, if anyone out there can help me with getting a Christmas gift for my four children, ages 16,14,5,&2, I would be soooo grateful to you. We live in Tennessee. Our kids don't have ANY gifts. They are all in need of clothes, but of course all kids especially the 2 small ones I'm sure would love to open up a plaything. Any help is appreciated. Hard times have fell upon us bad and it breaks our heart to see our kids have NO gifts. They are all real good kids, good grades, good behavior, so caring and respectful. God Bless all and no matter what, if you are in a similar situation or worse, please remember to teach your children the real reason we celebrate this wonderful holiday and put your faith in our Savior Jesus Christ, he will see you through whatever struggles you are facing.

a shoulder to cry on

I admire your post and if gives me hope. I always try to have hope and faith but when faced with hard times i'ts hard. The hardest thing for me is seeing my kids dissapointed and because I can't provide Christmas for them. I know the worry, and all is just the devil trying to make me lose faith in Jesus, So, I believe what you said above, "IF YOU BELIEVE IN GOD, REALLY HAVE THE FAITH,DONT STRESS, DONT WORRY,GOD IS THERE AND HE REALLY ,WORKS IN MISTERIOUS WAYS, YOU JUST HAVE TO HAVE FAITH , TRUST, AND DON'T GIVE UP. GOD IS EVERYWHERE." Pray and believe and everything will work out eventually. Trust in the the Lord. Ask and you shall recieve. Maybe not as quickly as you wish or need, but God has a plan and is testing us all the time . So,to anyone out there in need this holiday season, don't give up faith. I pray for you people that are in need like my family is everytime I pray. So, I pray now Heavenly Father that you just bless the families that are in need and bless them that that they have a warm home to eat a warm meal, and I pray Lord that these families will be able to put a little extra joy in their kid's on Christmas morning with a gift, but Lord I pray most that you will give each parent the knowledge and the sense enough to teach and tell their children this year and every year why we celebrate Christmas and the WONDERFUL story of the birth of THE MOST AMAZING BABY BORN EVER, our saviour Jesus Christ! AMEN

hOPE YOU DON'T MIND MY REPLY BUT AS i SAID IT WAS AN INSPIRATION AND I HOPE IT IS TO MANY OTHERS :)

Aidpage Open Letter: k12 public school are a blessing, thank you!please read my suggestion and help guide me in the right direction

I am writing this in regards to the K12 public homeschool that is now offered here in Tennessee. I ask that you continue to support this program. I love having the opportunity to be able to share in this learning experience with my child, however we have faced unfortunate circumstances lately that has left me needing a job, with no luck finding one. I would like to propose an idea and maybe if possible and with help from someone in one of your offices to guide meabout how to get this idea out there and maybe get it passed. So, here it is. I feel that there should be some sort of income or financial assistance available to us parents that are homeschooling our children. So, please if anyone can guide me in the right direction on trying to get something like this available for us parents that are needing financial help please reply tothis post, e-mail rayjenkins2616@att.net or call 423-351-9512

Thannk you so much for any help or info you can provide.

Also, I have four kids and don't have money to even pay our bills right now. My kids most likely have any gifts for Christmas. We will be celebrating the birth of Christ and we should give every gift of ourself and our faith in him to him and thank him for dying for our sins. Thank you Jesus for giving me this day and each day I have. But I just wanted to ask for any prayers for my kids that a blessing will bring them a couple gifts each, especially some clothes.

Thanks for your time and God Bless All!

help my family this Christmas

I could tell the all the unfortunate events my family is facing at present time, but just want to make it short and simple. my husband is suffering from an injury due to a job he was doing, he is self employed and there are no benefits for him being injured or unemployed right now. I am a stay at home mom. we have 3 sons ages 16, 14, & 5, and 1 daughter age 2. I have been looking for work since he got hurt. Our bills are barely getting paid. We've almost had our power off a couple times lately and can't afford our rent payment anymore. I know there are so, so, many families suffering this with finances and stress this season. I know there are people that may be in more dire need than us, and I pray to Jesus Christ that each person at least has a warm place and a warm meal to enjoy this holiday. I am asking please if anyone is able to help my family out with anything, it would be such a blessing and so appreciated. My biggest wish right now is just for the kids to have a few gifts under a tree this year, so they can have a happy day and take things off their mind. The older ones know our situation, they all know it's not about gifts, but the birth of our Lord Jesus Christ, but my husband and I just wish we could see the joy in their eyes if they had presents. They need clothes, socks, ect. mostly but they would love to get a small toy. If anyone can afford to help our family in ANY way, please e-mail me at rayjenkins2616@att.net or call 423-351-9512. We are in east Tennessee
